Al Ward has directed four highly acclaimed documentaries over the past decade, including Emmy-nominated “Beyond Kitty Hawk” and the distinguished PBS political special “Crashing the Parties.”
Al’s camerawork is regularly seen on TV networks including CNN, NBC, PBS, FOX, CBS, and Discovery. Some of his memorable moments behind the lens range from shadowing the Dalai Lama for an inspiring 3 days, to capturing Danny Devito yelling at his director behind the scenes of a movie shoot — and sounding just like Louie DePalma (Al was a big fan of Taxi in the 70s).
