Another reason why video games aren’t just for nerds anymore- on September 30th, a new game called “We Cheer” is being released for the Nintendo Wii. Players can choose from 30 songs to perform to while holding the Wii’s controllers like pom-pons. There are various modes of play, including “exercise mode” (which I assume is similar to what you do in Wii Fit), and “campaign mode” in which you compete against others to be team captain. You can either choose a pre-made member of “the squad” to play as, or you can create your own character by choosing features like her hair color, skin tone, and outfit. It’s sort of interesting to note that these avatars look less like the standard Wii characters, and more like less-trashy Bratz dolls.
If anyone from Nintendo wants to send us a copy to review, we’d be more than happy to do it. J But since that’s pretty unlikely to happen, leave us comments once the game is released and let us know how it is.
